ETC announces two software releases for the Hog 4 console’s operating system

Hog 4 OS v3.21 and v4.1 are the bridging releases with export/import features to get old show files into Hog desks running v4.x software. Hog OS v4.1. facilitates importation from exported v3.21 data into v4.x OS. Additional features in v3.21 include cloning per type palette rules for fixtures when change type is used and a dedicated timecode frame rate option for lists.

Key Features Include:

  • Improved Show Import/Export: Shows created in Hog 4 OS v3.21.0 can now be imported into v4.1.0 with greater compatibility. There may be some translation of colors used in the older version, but the update makes it easier to bring your previous work into the new software.
  • Simplified Color Picker: The Color Picker window has been streamlined for a better user experience in smaller windows. This update removes unnecessary information and frees up space to focus on the graphical color controls.
  • Timecode Frame Rate for Lists: Lists in Hog 4 OS can now have a dedicated timecode frame rate option. This ensures consistent formatting when editing cue timestamps, regardless of the frame rate you're working in.
  • Optimize Palettes: A new "Optimize Palettes" button has been added to help streamline your workflow. This button cleans up your palettes by identifying and combining redundant values. This can improve performance and make your palettes easier to manage.
